Some Influences of Coruscant

The Pyramid of the Tyrell Corporation of Blade Runner looks very much like the Jedi Temple:

Perhaps the Nerv Headquater from Neon Genesis Evangelion , which is also very much like a pyramid was an influence on the Jedi Temple , too. Both , the Jedi Temple and the Nerv Headquarter are the headquater of the organisation of the heroes and both buildings become attaced by an army during the story. In Star Wars and Neon Genesis Evangelion , the Army who attacked the headquater of the Heroes helped the Heroes in battles against an enemy and in both Series , the battles happened before the Headquater became attacked.

In the Star Wars Prequels , there are many scenes where skycrapers of coruscant are shown in a very bright , yellow light. These scenes remind me of 2 scenes from Neon Genesis Evangelion, where some Skyscrapers are shown. In the Pictures, there is also a very bright yellow light.

1. Star Wars "Yavin" was actually filmed in the ruins of the two temples from the holy city of the Mayans, I believe (or tricked up to look like they were). The Tyrell double-building is BASED on the Mayan holy city (Mayan art is used throughout the film - like the tiles on the walls of Decker's apt. are Mayan)

2. I believe Nerv headquarters is a pyramid because Jung used a pyramid as the symbol of the self - Jung got the idea from an egyptian creation myth, where the Earth was originally just water, and then a Ben (pyramid shape) rose from the water, and human-like consciousness began. This myth preceeded the pyramids. When the pyramids were built, the model was the "Ben" (pyramid-shaped stone) in the temple at Heliopolis. Evangelion writer/director Hideaki Anno had a nervous breakdown immediately after completing "Nadia" which lasted for 5 years. He recovered by reading Jung. Jung kept a "ben" on his desk and used it recurrantly as a symbol of self. Jung's theories in general strongly inform all of the Eva series.

3. I will consider your other ideas. In some cases I am purusing similar lines for the upcoming book, but I'm reluctant to reveal my ideas until the book is published.

The Building of the Galactic Senate ( starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Image:Galacticsenate2.jpg ) could have been inspired by a space station of Star Trek ( memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/Earth_Spacedock ) ore by a building in the Game Star Trek New Worlds which was very similar to this space station.
