I'm an aspiring writer aswell and I thought about the same thing as you: searching for Lucas' inspiration to help me out. This is how I found your website and I must say it has been very interesting!
Since you're planning a book aswell, I thought you might be interested in creating an extra forum on writing or something.
About me... I studied at filmschool, but didn't finish it. I want to become a writer, not a director, which doesn't mean directing doesn't interest me anymore. I'm currently creating my story and most importantly the world of the story. I had no idea it was going to be so hard to write something good. Star Wars and LOTR are also among my favorites. Not forgetting the ancient stories about Troy, Aeneas, Odysseus, the Titans... and so on. Talking about that... a mythology forum?
